The clarity of the diamond, the greater its brilliance and value. A diamond categorized as internally flawless will have no inclusions, but this is extremely rare.




Diamond Carat Weight
The weight of a diamond is measured in carats, one carat equals 100 points. You will often see a diamond called a stone or a diamond 3/4-carat 75 points. Larger stones are often more valuable, but the size should not be the only consideration - high brilliance, which varies with the degree of clarity, cut and color, it is highly desirable in a diamond.

A diamond certification is independent verification that the stone purchased has all the qualities of cut, color, clarity, shape and weight expected. It is a further indication of the condition and value of that diamond as represented on our site. These certificates are issued by several agencies employing highly trained gemologists and provide an accurate and unbiased assessment of the diamond. These gemologists scrutinize each stone to analyze its dimensions, clarity, cut, color, finish, symmetry, and other details.

The type of certificate which will be indicated in the product specifications of your jewelry purchase, if you do not see a certificate type noted, will not be provided.



Diamond Care
Diamonds as the hardest substance on earth, are resistant to damage. However, diamond jewelry in various metals, and treatment varies from one room to another. Diamonds should be cleaned with an ammonia solution part one up to six parts water, using a soft brush to remove dirt.
